Reflections

At first I didn't have time much to read books because I had other things that I care to do. But after this became a school assignment, I did my best to use my free time to read this book. And I finished it quiet fast.

Making me do all the summary made me read the book again for the part that I need to write, made me understand the story better than when I read it the first time. And it's not like I'm a kind of person that gets the whole story once. If I really need to understand the story, maybe I need to read it like...five times?

The project of needing to let Ms. Amy sign the sheet after I posted my blog(the summary) was kind of exhausting for me. Even though she gave the class time to do the blog posting at school, I usually didn't do it. I will always do it at home before the due date first. Because...it took me exactly two hours to finish one summary. So I did arrange my time of working better, and sometimes, work on some things faster.

Oh, and, doing this kind of work, made me know that reading is not really boring.

Goals, Dreams, and Motives of Quentin

Quentin has a one sided crush on Margo since he was nine years old as we know(but later revealed that Margo also once liked him). In the beginning of the story, Q was not a flashy guy, he doesn't have anything special that he cares. But after that night, when Margo came into his room though the window, and had their adventure, that changed Q's attitude for a bit. He was more ready for adventures. But after that night Margo was gone. He was determined to find Margo, and doesn't care his friend's words. Because of this, they had a fight for a bit of how each other doesn't care each other's feelings. Later, his friends helped him find Margo. They had a good friendship and teamwork. They even skipped their own graduation ceremony to find Margo in New York. It shows how Q finds Margo very important to him.

His motives on finding Margo is that, he liked her, and felt that Margo wants him to find her, with all the traces that she had made, he believed that it was for him. Plus, he thought that she might suicide, because the poem that Margo left for him had a clue that maybe she wanted to suicide and wanted Q to find her. Also because her parents doesn't care about her at all, even though she disappeared (and even though her parents hired a detective to find her, they still doesn't care about Margo's feelings). So if she's still alive, he wanted to let her stay with him in his house.

After he found Margo, his motive to live on is with his friends. He was prepared that he won't be able to find Margo, but after he found her, she didn't want to go back. And now, he have a good relation with his friends.
